Bailey was a 25-year old case manager and physical therapy assistant who was killed when she was rear-ended by a semi truck on I-44 on August 10, 2024.
In her short 25 years, Bailey practiced empathy and kindness daily. She did more than love: she was love brought to life.
In her work as a case manager, Bailey made it her mission to ensure patients were taken care of. She prioritized the person within the patient, and did everything in her power to make sure they had what they needed. Sometimes, this meant providing necessities for a safe and comfortable discharge from her own pocket.
The Bailey Nicole Foundation continues Bailey’s work by raising and distributing funds for healthcare systems to purchase basic necessities for patients to help recognize the person within the patient and restore dignity.
The Bailey Nicole Foundation was established to continue the work of Bailey Nicole (Geren) Snider, a case manager at Phelps County Regional Hospital in Rolla, Missouri, who was tragically killed in a car accident involving a semi-truck. Bailey prioritized her patients’ needs, and made it her life’s work to take care of the person as well as the patient, ensuring that “her people” had the necessary items to not only ensure a comfortable and safe discharge and recovery at home, but also to restore their dignity; Bailey understood that caring for the patient went beyond meeting their basic medical needs. With her own money, Bailey purchased pairs of shoes, clean clothes, mobility aides not covered by insurance, and other items to take care of her patients and her people. In Bailey’s words: “I gotcha, boo.” Through generous donations, the Bailey Nicole Foundation provides grants to healthcare systems to purchase these basic essentials and help recognize the person in the patient, continuing Bailey’s work and her legacy.
The Bailey Nicole Foundation provides funding to healthcare systems to pay for things patients cannot afford on their own. If you are a healthcare system and wish to apply for funds, please click below for details about our application and funding process.
Donations to The Bailey Nicole Foundation are tax deductible. We accept monetary donations, as well as durable medical equipment that is in good condition.
